Friends & Other Interesting People

My inspiration comes from lots of people, some of whom I can call “friends”, some of whom I can’t (yet).  Some of them are online, some of them aren’t (yet).  Here are a few of my online inspirations to facilitate your sojourn into topics from sustainability and other current affairs…

The Owl’s Post is a superb current affairs blog based in New York City and conveying the musings of one Jill Damatac.  We’ve joined up with The Owl’s Post in our Diablogue, enabling us to explore in detail some of the big ideas and events which distract us from everyday life.  Give a Hoot!

TED: Ideas Worth Spreading features a multitude of inspiring, entertaining and totally fascinating talks for the digestion of all.  Superb.

Nudge Blog is a masterpiece of thinking on behavioural economics, which accompanies Cass R. Sunstein and Richard H. Thaler’s 2008 book Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth and Happiness

George Monbiot writes for The Guardian newspaper on UK and international politics and other issues.  His blog offers some great perspectives and new angles for consideration.

The Guardian’s Comment is Free webpages provide a fantastic forum for discussion on hot topics by a huge range of writers.

Naomi Klein talks about a lot of the things that I think, only more articulately and with gusto.

Information is Beautiful presents very interesting things in very interesting ways.  I like this approach to communication.  A lot.

GOOD is a very good online version of the magazine (also good).  Good stuff.  (As the name suggests)

Feel free to introduce me to your own Friends & Other Interesting People!
